It’s Read Across America Week 2016!
This week we celebrate the great Dr. Seuss’ birthday (Wednesday, March 2nd) and the magic of reading. Below are some activities you can do with your classes throughout the week:
Favorite Dr. Seuss Book Graph
Take your class to the giant graph of Dr. Seuss books near the gym. Give each student a color dot (look for dot stickers in your boxes) and have them place their dot under their favorite Dr. Seuss book. We’ll announce OGES’ favorite Dr. Seuss book on Friday.
Goldfish Estimation Station
This station is set up on the desk near the music room. Have each student guess how many goldfish they think are in the jar. Include name, teacher’s name, and guess.
Cat in the Hat Photo Booth
Get creative with different Seuss themed props and a Cat in the Hat background, also near the music room. “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”
And don’t miss:
